What are hormones?
Hormones are your body’s chemical messengers that are made by the endocrine glands and travel in the bloodstream to tissues or organs, sending signals to tell your body what to do and when to do it. They are your “chemical messengers”, the body’s “WiFi,” providing internal communication between cells throughout the body. How Do Hormones Affect Health and Functionality?

For instance, the pancreas is an endocrine gland that produces digestive enzymes and also insulin, which regulates blood sugar metabolism. Progesterone is a hormone that supports menstruation and pregnancy, but high progesterone levels can also contribute to insulin resistance in women.
