The "Not Tested On Animals" bunny symbol is found in many variations and styles but all convey the same message – that the company making this statement are part of a growing community of caring companies that oppose using animals for toxicity & sarety research purposes except where essential life-saving medical research is indicated.

It is a common practice of many companies to test their topical products on rabbits and other small animals to ascertain dermal sensitivity and/or toxicity reactions. Cedar Bear Naturales™ takes a very dim view of this practice, espeically when it is for 'vanity' product purposes. We are of the notion that if an ingredient or a finished product is suspected of possessing dermal sensitivity or toxicity then the ingredient or the product to which the ingredient is part of should not be marketed as "natural," "safe," "gentle," etc. There is ample studies, research and literature detailing the dermal and biological effects of most ingredients used in today's topical use products. It is not necessary to use toxic ingredients with so many other safe alternatives available.   

Cedar Bear Naturales™ makes a number of products for topical (external) use and none have been submitted for testing on animals. This includes our herbal balms and Aromaceutical™ essential oils blends.
