All Cedar Bear Naturales™ (and its Divisions/Units) products are fully Kosher certified. We are certified through Scroll K. We have been Kosher compliant since 2000, and in October 2006, when we formalized our Kosher (Kashrus) standards, we were already so Kosher compliant that we were not required to go through the extensive kosherization process typical of companies obtaining formal kosher status because we were already doing it from all aspects of kashrus.
Cedar Bear Naturales™ holds the distinction of having been the first liquid herbal products manufacturer in the Western hemisphere (and one of the first in the world) to have its facility, operations and all products it produces from its extensive 'schedule A' listings being Kosher certified by a standardized Kashrus certifying agency. 'Standardized Kosher (Kashrus)' means that Scroll K standards are in line with (and recognized by) the largest of standardized kosher certifying organizations, including Orthodox Union (OU) and many other eminent Kashrus certifying agencies (i.e. OK, Star K, KOF-K, KSA, etc.) and strict independent rabbinic standards.
Fact is, a 'standardized' kashrus (kosher) standard is one of the best purity, safety and quality standards in existence because it is the oldest, most well developed and one of the most stringent there is, and it's time proven. Standardized Kosher documentation and operations standards actually rival cGMP and HACCP documentation and operations standards. Cedar Bear Naturales™ standardized Kosher standards were documented/implemented in tandem with its cGMP/HACCP standards both as to documentation and operations QA/QC standards. Scroll K standardized Kashrus certified standard and Cedar Bear Naturales™ cGMP/HACCP compliant standards work remarkably well with each other and have resulted in a synergy that greatly enhances Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) of the company and its products. It's not surprising since Kosher standards existed long before cGMP and HACCP standards.
