cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) Being cGMP compliant is longer a voluntary standard for companies in our industry to compy with but will be required under the emerging FDA guidelines for cGMP standard, and CBN™ fully supports this uniform standard. Cedar Bear Naturales® has been cGMP compliant since 2000 and will be compliant with FDA final guidelines when they are published. A recent review of the approved standards showed that we are already compliant with or exceed cGMP in many areas of our operation as applies to our particular business setup and place in the industry.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) Under the emerging FDA mandated cGMP standard being HACCP compliant will only apply to certain companies in our industry. Though Cedar Bear Naturales® will not be required by the uniform cGMP standard to be HACCP compliant, we will still continue to maintain and build upon our proven HACCP compliant quality standard that will continue to add a sandwiching (underlying and overriding) embrace of greater product safety and Quality Assurance (QA) to our already stringent cGMP standard. Being both cGMP and HACCP standard compliant also has the added benefit of bringing us closer to being ISO standard compliant than any other company in our particular segment of the herbal products industry. This is not only good for Cedar Bear Naturales® brand products and the private label products it produces, but is especially important for food, beverage, confectionary, personal care and natural health products companies using our products as ingredients in their own finished products .
